International E-commerce & Digital Director (M/F)

Position based in Lyon, France

My client is a French brand specializing in dermo-cosmetic products, now aiming to expand its e-commerce sales channel internationally (North America, UK, Asia…) with an omnichannel vision.

In this context of strong growth, a new role has been created: International E-commerce & Digital Director (M/F), reporting directly to one of the founders.

I’m looking for a seasoned professional (10–15 years of experience) with a proven track record in launching international B2C e-commerce markets, within an omnichannel model and in a high value-added product environment.

You bring both strategic vision and a hands-on approach, capable of executing with the support of a small team.

You have worked outside of France and/or have developed the e-business of a specific country or region; you have a solid understanding of European and North American markets.

You are a person of conviction, with a clear vision and a results-oriented mindset; but you also possess the empathy and listening skills necessary to adapt to the company culture and work effectively across functions.

Fluent English is required.


Your Key Responsibilities

Global E-commerce & Digital Strategy:

  • You will lead the brand’s digital and e-commerce strategy across all markets, both in France and internationally.

  • You will be responsible for the development and performance (traffic, conversion rate, average basket, etc.) of online sales through proprietary platforms (B2C), marketplaces, and distributor partners.

  • You will ensure an optimal customer experience and maximize brand visibility within the sector, adapting the company’s strategy to each market’s local specifics.

Digital Marketing & Customer Acquisition:

  • In collaboration with external partners, you will lead online advertising campaigns based on acquisition, conversion, and retention strategies that you define.

  • You will track key performance indicators (KPIs), report results to management, analyze e-commerce performance, and suggest optimization plans based on available resources and market trends.

Team Management & Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • The digital team currently consists of two people; you will continue to build and develop this team to meet growth and market expansion objectives.

  • Cross-functionally, you will work closely with marketing, communications, and international teams to ensure alignment and consistency across all digital initiatives.
